To my surprise, I had never uploaded a video from Country Boy Brewing located in Lexington, Kentucky and as they say, timing is everything. My recent trip to Lexington had me end up with their Knotty Pine IIPA and now, my first look at one of their brews here on the channel and blog. This Double IPA carries a 9% ABV and apparently only offered at certain times, as it is no longer even listed on their website.
As one could expect, there is a pine feel of the beer, and the hoppy bitterness comes right through as expected. I found it to have a floral presence in the aroma along with some sweetness in the taste; overall, it did have a nice smooth quality. It was not as heady as expected; however, the alcohol was hidden nicely as it did not come across boozy at all. It definitely has the ability to sneak up on those that enjoy a few of these. A nice brew in my opinion, and check out the video to hear and see more and if you have had it then drop a comment below to let me know your thoughts on this one.
